My name is Erin. I am new to this site and am in the pre-op portion of my gastic bypass journey. I have a few friends who have had the surgery but am already losing old friends due to my decision. I don't want that drama in my life and would like to meet new people who could become life long friends and be empathetic, supportive and kind. If you can relate to what I am going through then add me or message me please. I'd love to meet some new people who are living the same journey as myself.

 Hi Lisa,
Thank you so much for your reply to my post! I'd love for you to be one of my new understanding supportive friends :) I tried to add you on here but your profile is listed as private and wouldn't let me add you. So I sent an add request on Facebook.

Hi Erin,

Congratulations on the re-birth that you will soon experience. I am 11 months post op, and I would love to be a understanding and helpful friend to help you along with everything that is about to happen to you. You will soon learn that you can't please everyone with the decision that you made, but please keep in mind that this surgery is completely about you and wanting to improve your health, quality of life. The surgery saved my life and i have lost 200 pounds in less than a year, and i feel like I have to share my experiences with others as others did for me before i had my surgery. Please add me on here and we can also keep in touch on facebook as well.

My name is Gabe.

Hi Erin! I, too, am just getting started. I'm sorry to hear about your fair-weather friends. But, hey, if you need an internet buddy who's feeling your pain (also your hunger :-/ ) then I'll gladly be of assistance!

And btw - I love your hair!

Hello Erin,  been away from OH for awhile and found it was a mistake on MY part.  Had Gastric Bi-pass 3 years ago and felt good and stopped looking for advice and information.......well I'm back and looking for friends also.   If you have enough friends GOOD FOR YOU,  just let me know if your still needing on-line GB friends...........from Pittsburgh Pa.    Mary Beth
