Hi I'm Linda and I live in Schwenksville Pa. I had my surgery 3yrs. ago and I was 60 yrs. old and I was never sorry that I did it. I had doubts and sometimes I had obsticles in the way and Iwould say maybe I'm not suppose to have it done . But one day I said to God give me a sign if I'm not suppose to have it done but something came over to tell me I was sure to have it done. The doctor was surprised that I came through with flying colors. I had no complicants .When I told the doctor that I was afraid to have done because of something happening to me, he said no matter with being obese I would not live to be old. I had more of a chance to get healthy. Make sure you go to somebody that you hear good things about. I knew people who went to my doctor. I know you live far away but I went to abington hospital in abington. It's ashamed you didn't go in Sept.look how far you would have been .Good Luck you won't be sorry.
Hi, I am new to this website and new to weight loss surgery. I have gastric bypass on 1/30 of this year. I thought about it for one year and had many discussions with my primary care physican before committing to the surgery and myself. I am still adjusting to trying to get to know my body and am getting stronger every day. Today I even organized the closet in my bedroom which was not an easy task. I am so glad I have had this surgery. It has not been an easy road, but once I fully committed myself there was no turning back. In the first three weeks I have lost 16 lbs. and my blood pressure is better. I am walking every day and have a pep in my step that I have not had in years. I think if you do some soul searching you will determine if this is right for you- and if so go for it!!!
