Good to hear from someone from Texas looks like you've been post surgery about 7 months.  How's it going for you so far.  Do you find yourself down about missing foods you will never have again.  I am losing slowly but thats how I told my surgeon I wanted to do.  Trying to minimize sagging skin by lifting hand weights.  Thanks for answering and I will appreciate any words of wisdom or suggestions you have since you are further along in this.  Thanks again.  Cheryl

I really don't miss food that much,,I do sometimes see something that like and I think, you know you can't that. A good rule to follow, Is if you see something you want and can;t have, instead of getting depressed and all. Just take yourself from there and go somewhere else find something to do. Myself I just go to my room.

Yes I'm doing pretty good, I have had a few stalls, but that's to be expected. Just didn't know they would last so long. 3-4 weeks is tough. But I have lost 135lbs since May 16Th. So not to bad. Lost lots of inches.

I  had a vsg on 11-29-11, still new to this site also, I would like to be your penpal.

I had my VSG on July 5, 2011 and everytime my kids and husband has a either a ice cold coke or glass of sweet tea, I want to rip it out of their hand. Those are two of the many things that I miss the most.

 Hi. I live in the Eastern part of Tx.. Had lap band done in November and am down 35lbs. Used to love Big Red when I was a kid, hadn't thought of it in years. Hope we can find more Texas people on here.

 Sorry every one..brain fart I guess. I actually had my surgery in August, not November. Disapointed in my slow weight loss. 

I too am from Texas and my name is Barbara (HI Texas Barb!!!). I had the Vertical Sleeve on 02/29/12 with great results! I don't really miss any of the things that I can't have any longer (pasta, breads, potatoes, etc) but I can have a small corner of Domino's thin crust pizza..just eat the topping now, that's all. I can have sweet tea with no problems at all but it takes me all day just to drink one glass of that. It's great to see everyone here and drop a line to say Hello!!!
