AZ/39y/F/RNY looking for support pals ... all locations welcome!

Hello OH folks! I'm a 39 year old female, in Phoenix, AZ, looking for penpals/support pals, etc. My interests include reading/writing scifi/fantasy, crocheting, beadworking, movies, just having fun. I had my RNY on 1/10/11 and am happy to have already lost 41+ pounds. Love my RNY ..... have had no real problems so far! I would love to hear from anyone -- male or female -- who'd like a support buddy as we go through this life-changing journey! Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello there,
I don't have a surgery date yet but I am thinking late spring or early summer (May, June, July). I would love to have someone to email to help me through the process. I was not nervous until I got my appointment with the surgeon. I have been going through the process for about 2 years now and can't believe I'm finally at this point! I am meeting with the surgeon on Wednesday and hope to have a surgery date shortly thereafter.

As far as my interests I like to make candles, movies, watching TV, playing games, reading/writing. I am from San Diego, CA and I am 33 years old.

Hi Dawn,

I joined ObesityHelp not long after I had my first appointment with my surgeon. I haven't participated much because I really didn't know what to do. As I am getting closer I'm receiving wonderful emails from ObesityHelp directing me to the various levels of support available on the site.
I too am looking for email pals and support for my very recent RNY surgery on March 14, 2011. My interested include reading/writing, games, pets, internet/computers, meeting people, walking, electronic gadgets. I love life and people. Talking is problably my favorite passtime. 
I am almost 49 yrs old. In my heart I don't feel that old, I don't look that old but I feel the my weight issues make me physically feel my age and I refuse to let that happen. That was the determining factor to start this journey. Explain more as we become friends. Hope to hear from you soon.

Im a 39yr old female in Goodyear, AZ. I had a lap band that had to be removed last year. I am now scheduled for surgery on Wed. 4/13/11 for a gastric sleeve!!!! YAY!!! 
I am married, have 5 kids (20,19,15,13,12), four boys and one girl. I am not from here and really don't have any friends to speak of.  I could use a penpal/support buddy and who knows maybe one day we could even have lunch! 

Hi Dawn, I'm 38 and originally had a lap band in 2007 (i think).
I have just had this revised to RNY on the 16 april 2011 so its quite new for me.
I am in Melbourne Australia.
I have 2 children an almost 10 year old Angel , blessed with Autism. Also a son , he has just turned 8.
I enjoy cooking, volounteering at my sons school, movies, fishing, gardening and having fun with friends and family.
I too are looking for a pal, RNY isnt done very much in Australia as the Lapband is more popular here..so I don't know of any support groups here yet.
