Yes, I am in the same boat as you, only mine is sinking faster!  I am 9 years post op and have regained 73 pounds.  I felt like a total loser for a while.  I have decided to get RNY redid.  I am not ready to call it quits.  My new dr. has placed me on protein supplements and vitamins to prepare my body for surgery and despite people telling me that some people are meant to be fat....I am absolutely refusing to buy into it.  Remember your goals...don't dwell on the past...and start anew. Tomorrow is a new day....live it without guilt.  Go forward.

I am so glad to know that you are getting the RNY redone.  I would love to have it done, but not sure how to go about getting it.  I don't get on here  much to get my messages but I would love to become penpals and maybe help each other out.  My email is  [email protected]
Please feel free to email me...........I have another penpal that is having our same problem...maybe we can all get together on here and cheer each other on.

Take care
Hope to hear from you soon

I thank God that I am getting this second chance.  I have been gaining weight for about 4 years; however, the past two years of gaining eclisped the other two.  I am a web searcher who kept plugging in weight gain after gastric bypass and one of my search returns brought up the Rose procedure.  So I researched it and found a surgeon about 400 miles away from.  I filled out the online questionnaire and watch the online seminar and waited for a call which came in two days.  From there on, my husband and I have been traveling 400 miles to Louisiana once or twice a month since the day before Thanksgiving.  I am getting all the Preop testing done here at home.

After the EGD, Dr. Redman decided that the best procedure would be the open RNY because of the scar tissue.  I really wanted the Rose but I am happy just to get this second chance.

I have been thinking a lot about what I did wrong the first time around and I am trying to deal with my health issues and the main reason why I love to eat and why food is my best friend.  I would love to talk with the others who are "in the same boat as I am.

Hi, I'm happy to hear that you're getting this under control.  I am trying the 5 day pouch test right now.  I am almost through day 1!  Right now I'm getting a headache and I'm starving!  But I will get through this.  How I pray that my pouch isn't broken..........I hope after I can keep this up and get back on track again. When is your surgery?

Oh yea..I am in the same boat.  8 years post-op, regained 80 pounds.  I'd love to correspond through my personal [email protected] free to email me.  Put  WLS Penpal in subject line so I don't delete you by mistake please.

I would love to get back on track and need some support myself.  I hope to hear from you.

I didn't know that we could have it done over.....I would love to have a second chance.  I'm so disgusted with myself.  I don't understand how I could have done this.  I would love to keep touch with you and maybe we can encourage each other to finish this right.
