Hi, I’m new to this so bare with me. My name is Donna and I now live in southern cali (moved from northern calif). I had the lap band in 2009. None of my friends seem to understand either. It’s not a easy topic with/for them since they’re all sticks~ I’ve always been the funny chubby girl. So I’m here if you want to chat, write, etc.
Take care,
Donna
finally! someone who had the lap band! I hear u girl! some people at work have been down right mean to me about it, they don't understand its a disease and we need a little help. if we were herion addicts we could "just stop"! unfortunatly we can't "just stop" eating or we'd die. they don't understand the distinction. the only ones who objected were "sticks" for me too. they don't get it and it makes me angry sometimes also. I've been out for 3 wks and when i go back to work on monday i don't know what i'll say to some of those sticks, I'm tempted to tell them off. I'm worried in the stress of things like life i'm going to back slide.
