Pen Pal wanted - 5 years out

Hello everyone - my name is Barb and I am about 5 years out RNY.  I live in  Southern Cali and I am 44 years old.  Would like somone in a similar situation to penpal with to help each other get back on track.  Any takers?

Hi Barbara! Wtg!! At least you've made it this far!! I'm 7 yrs post op RNY and luckily haven't had any major problems. My biggest problem is following the rules! lol. I've learned that the hard way and getting myself back on track now.

Hi Sophia - thanks for answering my email I was beginning to think no one wanted a penpal with someone so far out.  I see you are 7 years out huh?   Have you experienced and weight  gain?  I have gained some but I know it's completely my fault. 

So you live in Wyoming huh?  Ive been to Jackson Hole many years ago and it was beautiful.

Hey Barbara! I am about 5 1/2 years out from RNY. I'm 39 and in Ft. Worth, TX. I need serious help getting back on track. I lost 112 lbs the first year. Since then I have had a baby, gone through the traumatic death of my little brother, and have several herniated discs in my back that make working out difficult. So I have put back on about 25 lbs. I would love to email with you! It has been a VERY long time since I got on this site. I'm not even sure if I remember how to check posts! So, if you would like to email with me that would be great! Hi Jenn - please accept my apology in not getting back to you when you originally replied to me last February.  I had computer issues and other things happening and just didn't check my obesity help emails.

I do hope you are doing well and that the opportunity to be penpals is still open.  I am in no way a flake or weirdo just got side-tracked.

hello all..Im 7 years out and am working on getting back on track and ahve a gain of about 40 lbs.  Ive maintained the 110 off yet....total I lost about 150...so hoping to get that off....So...would love to find penpals in the same boat!!!!

hello my name is Carol.  I had RNY 6 years and never reached goal.  Unfortunatel I've regained 25 lbw and am struggling.  It;s very difficult to get back on track.  Any help and friendship would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Carol thanks for replying to my post.  I am so grateful for this website it has helped me in many ways before, during and after my RNY in 2004.  I have regained about 40 lbs Carol and never reached my goal weight.  I was told not long ago that each doctor leaves their patients pouches the size THEY feel is right for the patient.  While I agree with this to some degree, doctors need to take the fact that the pouch stretches out over a short period of time more into consideration and perhaps start making pouches smaller.  

Carol what kinds of issues are you having?  My issues are that I just eat wrong and while the surgery helped with my stomach size, it didn't help with what makes me eat too much or the wrong things.  I hope you and i can help each other get back on track.
