 Hey Melanie I have just started the process to get the VSG; met with the surgeon last week who put me on the 6 month plan...will be meeting with nutritionist/exercise physiologist soon. I have been a type 1 diabetic since I was 14 (I'm 27 now). The one thing I am worried about is extreme hypoglycemia after the surgery due to the highly restrictive diet. Have you gotten your surgery yet? I was thinking about starting a blog because there really isn't a lot of information on type 1s who get WLS...
