I understand completely.  I thought I was doing okay.  Two years ago, I noticed I had gained a few pounds.  I know I was eating more sweets (MM peanuts are my favorite) in small amounts of course and I was not exercising as much as I should.  Then it went form a few pounds to 15 pounds to 30 pounds.  All of my cute clothes I had to get rid of.  I never did reach my goal weight of 175.  I feel like a failure.

I'm in the same place and 4.5 years out, but 15 mos post delivery of my only child.  Waited until I was 40 to have him, but pregnancy opened a whole flood gate and now I have an extra 30-35.  Any insight into anything working to get going again.  I need help so bad - I feel like such a failure and I never want to go back to where I was.

I too am gaining weight after 3 years, lost 135 have gained 35. I had a TIA (stroke like) in July 09 and had to stop exercising, from walking 3 miles daily to walking zero. I also tend to overeat (an old habit I've started again. It is definitly true, exercise, exercise, exercise and find a support group. My surgeon also moved and for a year I had not been monitored by the doctor and the surgery staff. These are the most important steps that I have taken out of my life change and it shows.

I would love to be a penpat. Starting over again 01-01-10 with the 5day pouch test "Livihg after weight loss surgery.

Good Luck, I know we can do it.

Hi, I had my surgery in July 2000 and I have gained 15 to 20 pounds. I weighed 265 and got down to 155 by 2001. I have no idea why you are gaining weight, unless you are going back to old eating habits.  Start drinking water, alot of water. I am starting Jan.1st to get off that old 20 pounds.  I will need some support too.  I work at a YMCA and can get personal trainers for 1/2 price.  I am going to take advantage of that.  Maybe you should invest in a PT- session get to get you jump started.
I want to be your pen pal.     Are you on facebook?
Let's do this girl!!!
