Looking for a pen pal around my age who had Lap Band done

I am looking to have the lap band surgery done. I'm looking for someone that I can relate with being young and overweight. I would love to hear the outcome of their lap band surgery and all of their experiences with it. I am about to turn 20 and am strongly considering it. However, it would be nice to get advice from others! 

Haaay ! I'm Amanda - 23 & al-most a year ! AH I can't believe it .. lap bander 10-27-08.... down 120 lbs so far - I'm no angel... there's plenty of ups n downs .. anyways, congrats on thinking about making ur life better - even if u don't do the surgery... I've been the 'big girl' of the group my whole life! I know what it's like... I still can't shake that 'odd' one out feeling - til I'm where I wanna be I'm still gonna have these insecurities

Wow! First of all congrats!! That is huuge. I bet you feel like a whole other person in a good way.. I can't wait until I am at that point. I have the seminar on Mon. so I am still at the beginning of all this. I have heard alot of different opinions and I'm hoping this seminar will really get me going. I also have  always been overweight and I'm tired of it. I can't wait to have a surgery date! Time cannot go by fast enough!!
