My name's Lori, I'm from near Ottawa, ON Canada.  I had RNY surgery on August 5th and am feeling like I'm trudging through this myself, since no one in my family has ever been through this before.

If you'd like to write feel free to drop me a line. I've seen you on the Ontario board and know how scary things can be as a new post op. So many "what ifs...." and "is this normal?" kind of things.
I pretty much had to get through the surgery on my own, armed with the stuff on the computer and pretty much educated myself by reading excessive amounts on line! =)

I've been penpalling through my teen years and love both snail mail, email and facebook. I'm 38, married, 40 children (okay, none really, but I teach about 40 of them each year ! LOL!), lots of animals, a bit of a homebody, and I practically live on my computer (well...at least until school starts up!).

If you'd like to write feel free. If not, I'm okay too and won't be offended.  In the meantime feel free to read my webpage or profile :)  You can even just add me on facebook if you just want to chat there.
