Looking for a pen pal / fam support is somewhat limited

I'm from Taylor (Central Texas) and I'm wanting to find a penpal - someone who I can chat with about the ups and downs of trying/having WLS.  I have a very large family but not getting everyone's support on this.  They're there, but not really there - if you get what I mean.  Some of them think I should do this on my own and if I can't that this is the way I'm supposed to be, nevermind the health conditions that would kill me without the WLS.  I know what's best for me and my body and I KNOW I WILL SUCCEED!!!

I know what you mean about your family. It's the same thing for me. I have a large family but they say that the surgery is unnessecary and I should do it on my own. (I won't mention that half of them are overweight themselves). I'm trying to build up a support team becuase so far I have only 1 friend who is supporting me and her support makes a big difference.  Imagine if I had 5 people in my corner!! I live in Canada but would love to be your penpal.
