Female 52, BMI 38, VSG on 7/6/09, WI, share journey with

I'm female, 52 years old.  Children 31, 29, 15.  Grandchildren 6,4,3,2,1.  Registered nurse.  Married.  Live in Wisconsin, lots of family in Texas.  VSG on 7/6/09. 

Looking for someone to share the daily journey with.  I tend to be an upbeat, optimistic person.  I'm very excited about the surgery and can't wait to see how this all unfolds.

Hi Katherine! I saw your posting and immeaditly felt a connection to you. I'm having VSG on July 7th. I live in Texas and teach 4th grade. I would love to have someone to support and share with!  Have you begun your liquid pre-op? Mine starts Tuesday. I'm thrilled about the surgery, but concerned about learning new coping mechanisms instead of eating.

I'm 6 weeks VSG pre-op and I'm looking for anyone and everyone who will assist me in the journey ahead.  Seemingly VSG patients are a rare breed, especially here in Kentucky, and I'm just looking for overall feedback.

I would be very interested in hearing your story.  I'm a 50 year old wife, mother of two, grandmother of one.
