I am going through the process right now to do lap band. Lookin for someone to talk with about weightloss, surgical process ect.

Hi Beki!

I am currently debating whether to go through with the lapband procedure or not.   I definitely qualify at 243 lbs. (5'5"), but I have my fears and concerns...  So are you definitely going to do it?  If so, where and when will you do it?  How did you go about finding a  surgeon?
I have always struggled with my weight, have you?  I think now I am at my highest weight.  It is so hard to get dressed, even to walk...my back is killing.  So let's talk more...

I am sure trying to do it for sure. I have been heavy all my life..all my life. tried lots of diets too. I am 297 lbs 5'5" right now. www.asbs.org is a good website to find a surgeoon in.

Hi Beki, I am from ashland wi which is near duluth mn and I had the lap band on december 19th 2008. We can chat anytime do you use msn messenger or yahoo we can always chat that way as well. I also had 2 other surgeries since the lap band. I am now down 50 lbs with only 1 lap band fill. so im very happy with that.. hope to talk to you soon
