Hi, from North Ga. I am just short of 2 years into this journey. I am just learning to use the online support as I do not have a local support group I can attend. I am Roxanne from So. California, where the sun does not stop shining, but the pounds keep creeping on and on...so that my wallet is thin, so is my hair and my nails, but I sure am thick...a whopping 243 lbs thick, at 5'5"! I cannot see myself get any bigger. I feel I have lost control...If only I could stop gaining the weight, but it seems like every day I am a pound heavier! I have battled with my weight all my adult life, but at 42 years old, I am getting tired of struggling like this--and it only gets worse, right? Anyway, I am contemplating lapband surgery within a month or two. Have you had surgery yet? If so, which, and how were the results? MAN U HAVE DONE WELL. Not me, I am 2 years in June and only lost 45 #, I had got very discouraged then I suddenly lost 13 # in 3 weeks. So I am on track, the doc says that I have just required more tightness in my band than most to really get the restriction needed to keep me from eating. I started at 312, a little less than my max weight. But I am 52 yrs old and have to get this weight under control. I dont ever expect to nor do I want to be thin, I just want to be healthy and able to get around with my grand children. So tell me about u. I live in Trion and commute to Dalton to work. I am in a social ser type position and love my work. I married almost 4 year ago a wonderful man I had met after I was divorced from a terrible man. It took me 25 yrs to realize that I and my children deserved better. I moved here to Trion from Murray Co after we married . It was a big transition since I had lived there since i was 4 yr old. My husbands daughter lives there in Rome and is a school teacher. Well hope to hear from u again. Hope you have had a good week end. Joyce

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying I am not usually so slow. I had my lap band 2 year ago this June 27th I think. I have only lost 45 # but I am not a good example of the out comes. I have had a difficult time of it. The surgury went well and as expected< I just am not lossing weight as I should have. I was not sure if it was just me or not but my doc says that I am one of the rare ones. It is coming off now is short spirts. I have lost 13 # in the last month so I am excited. I am 52 years old have a thyroid problem and have been menapausal sincer a hystorectomy when I was 25. All of this and taking hormone shots causes a real prob with my matabolisim. Hey dont judge me by my spelling, I type faster than i can think. lol. Get back with me and we will chat. Good luck, by the *weigh (heheh) I started at 312 so dont feel bad.
