I had RNY gastric bypass on 11/13/08 here in Victoria.   I've lost 86 lbs. since the hospital and lots and lots of inches.

Just had a few issues with throwing up when I ate too fast or too big a bites.   Am exercising 2-3X a week in bariatric water aerobics and cardio.

How are you? I just received information today from my surgeon's office that my insurance requires me to do a six month physician supervised diet. I am extremely distraught over this. I have been on diets (never physician supervised) since I was about ten years old! (40 in Aug) Did you have to do this prior to your surgery? I will try to get on yahoo but I don't remember my pass word.

I am on Medicare -- I had to do a physician surpervised diet for 6 months and lost 13 lbs.  You have to go to the doctor every month and they have to make notes in your medical chart about the weight loss discussion.  Your primary care doctor should work with your surgeon on this.  Good luck!
