need a friend
I had RNY nearly 4 years ago and have lost about 70 pounds. My weight loss has been so pitiful that I just gave up. The NUT at the doc's office seemed to be more interested in her move to a new job than helping me. So I feel as if I never got the correct training when I needed it most.
Out of frustration I spoke with a WLS expert lat Monday at the hospital I had surgery. She suggested that I seek out a friend who has gone through WLS so I could have someone to talk to. I live out in the sticks and no one around me has had this procedure so I have been pretty much alone in this journey.
It would be nice to have someone to write to, ask questions, or just vent some frustration. I'm 5' tall and 200 pounds. So you can see the surgery didn't do a lot for me but I want to correct this as best as I can.
Is anyone willing to help an overweight lady?
Thanks,
Mandy

Hi Mandy,
I, also, am 5 ft. short and started out at 200 lbs. I had my lap band surgery on October 31st, 2008 and I have barely lost weight. I feel your pain !
I'd love to talk back and forth with you. Maybe we can help each other to succeed with weight loss.
Hope to hear from you...
xo,
Cindy
