New to the forum
Hi Mandy,
I was just 'sniffing' around in this forum and found your post. I'm usually in my state forum (NJ) or RNY forum. Your post caught my attention as I LOVE dogs. My beagle is napping (what else is new) next to me now. Ask questions, anything. Happy to help in any way I can. I'm almost 9 months out and doing GREAT!
Good luck,
Andrea

Hi Mandy - I know its been awhile since you first posted for a pen-pal but I was so drawn to your pic . . . actually, your dogs! I am a big time Lab lover too. I typically hang out on the MN forum, but started poking around on the other parts of the site when I found your post. I am about one month post-op (had my RNY 1/9/09) and things are going quite well. I had originally hoped to gain control of diabetes/high cholesteral and so-far its been very successful. The weight loss is secondary to me . . . but -48 lbs. isn't anything to sneeze at! As you get closer to your date, just remember that you're bound to get nervous -- you're not normal if you don't. Just keep focused on your reasons for the surgery and try to remember that this may be the single most rewarding thing you ever do for yourself. You'll have moments when you question what you're doing, but ultimately if you're sure of your reasons, you'll never look back. If you ever have questions or want to chat, let me know. Good luck on your journey!
