hi michelle, congrats on your surgery i have my first appointment with tuffs medical center on jan 6  i cant wait. my wifes had her surgery open because her doc wanted her to be her first laproscopic patient    lol we said nahh she lost over 100 # and to me looks great put she is still selfconscious.   ty for your support and if my wife can help in any way just ask     Dennis

The staff and drs at tufts are great !! Thats who I went to I had Dr. Shikora...the best of best.  I bet your wife looks fabulous!!! I am down about 40 pounds and I can see it in my face now, so excitement is setting in. just sitting in today because of the snow and because my trailblazer decided to break on me Monday...I let my daughters boyfriend take it and now it is rapping something  fierce!!  and the engine light is on so waiting for it to get towed out of my driveway...what a nice x-mas present.  well a little about me...I have 4 kids an 18 year old girl, a 15 year old boy, a 3 year old girl and a almost 1 year old girl.  I read your profile and I do know some about your family. Well phone is ringing so off for a bit hope you and your family have a safe and healthy New Year !!! (if I dont talk to you before tonight) !!

I'm Lisa and from Brockton but moving to Sharon soon. I had my surgery back in 2005. I had it at Brigham and Womens. At that time NEMC had a 6 month waiting period. Come to find out Dr. Shikora is a close friend of my mother-in-laws and if he had know I could have gotten a sooner appt.


My doctor at B&W was excellent. His name is Dr. Dvid Lautz. I lost about 140 lbs but due to a train accident in 2008 and a few other issues from 2007 i've gained 33lbs but am back on track and going to lose it all again.

hi lisa, my wife had surgery also but at our local hospital in taunton . i am so excited about the surgery and have learned alot from her  and we both learn new things just about every day. im glad u r back on track and also good luck with your move to sharon. thanks Dennis
