I am a Support Group Coach who is here to talk to!

Hi there, I am a non-surgical Support Group Coach. My wife Melissa (aka-Melcha) had Lap-Band Surgery on November 27, 2007. I was extremely involved in her surgery from her research, to the Dr's visits, numerous seminars, surgery and monthly Dr's visit. We both co-lead a support group named "Its up me.." out of Winter Haven/Lakeland, Fl. I would be more than happy to become a "pen pal" to someone who might be looking for some unbiased conversation. I am a realistic support buddy, I like to look at each situation we go through differently. I do not believe that there is a cookie cutter way to work with the "tool" you have been given to help you loose weight. I am firm believer in the saying that "you did not gain all the weight at once and you will not loose it all at once. I believe in setting realistic goals and not beating yourself up if it takes you longer to meet the goal, some people cannot ever reach their (or better yet their Dr's) goal. Everyone who has had WLS should be proud of themselves, each and every day that they made the ultimate decision to stay alive longer and improve their quality of life.
