Pre op ...Looking for a pen pal

Hi,
I am pre-op.  Just beginning the journey.  Anyone out there new to this website like me who would like to have a pen pal?  I am 48 years old, the mother of 4.  I am so anxious, nervous and excited.  I feel like it is unreal that I finally took the step to have this surgery.  Now the waiting is killing me.  I just want it to be tomorrow.  Anyone out there in the same boat????

HI Marykate, I am also looking for a penpal. I am almost 6 weeks post-op. I know you are looking for someone who is pre-op, but if you are interested I would enjoy writing back and forth.

Good Morning,

How's it going?  I'm doing well and feeling really good.  Things are going well.  I had my month post-op visit last Thursday and Dr. Smith is very pleased with my progress thus far.  I'm 28% of my goal and doing well.  I'm struggling with the H20 intake but will keep trying.  For the most part it has been really good.  Where are you in the process now?  Are you making any support group meetings?  If so, where?  I attend in Marietta and have not been to one since I had my surgery - so I look forward to attending one next week.

Thanks for writing back.  Hopefully we will not have to be in the waiting game too long.  Have you done some of your requirements yet?  I have had the evaluations and I am currently meeting with the dietician.  How about you?  I love to look at the before and after pics on this website and dream about when that will happen to me.  How about you?

I am working on the paperwork. I see the dietician for the first time next week. Insurance says it will be atleast 6 months before surgery. I am hoping we can speed that up. I am looking forward to feeling better after the surgery. I recently bought  horse--hoping to be able to ride after surgery. I rode about a 1/4 mile today.
