Live near Houston and looking for a pen pal?!?!!

Hello, every one! I'm new to the group as well and would love to find a penpal!  I live just outside Houston, I am 48 y/o and I'm waiting for my file to be submitted to the ins. for approval. I've done all my pretesting, evals, etc. and am in a holding pattern. The past several days I've spent thoroughly researching the specialty hospital where I'll have it done, as well as my surgeon. I want to make sure I have all of that done before they call me to set a date and I freeze up because I'm still not sure!! I want to be able to say "heck yeah, sign me up!!!" with no reservations!!  I weigh 220, am 5'1" and my bmi is 42.  I guess I'm considered a 'lightweight' because I only have 109 lbs to lose. (that makes NO sense to me!!) I'm here BECAUSE I have 109 lbs to lose!!!  I am looking for others near my area that we can chat, visit and support one another.  Hope to find someone soon!!  (Oh, and I do scrapbooking for a hobby!!!)

Karen, I am not on the boards as much as I would like since I have two sons that are in football I am more like a taxi cab now but I am in Houston – SW Houston and I am always looking for new friends that share in my journey. I am what you would call a “heavy weight” ha ha… I am at 350lbs now and when I started my 6 month diet before the surgery (damn  insurance) I was at 415lbs so I have already come along way and next month we finally submit my file for insurance approval which I couldn’t be more thrilled with – I am ready to start the new phase of my life and I can’t wait! I am a mother of two incredible boys who right now have just started football and man does that keep me busy. I am online at night when I get home and would love to be an email pen pal and since you are here we could even meet! J Just let me know if you ever want to scrapbook. I used to do it every weekend and I lost my scrapbooking partner L when she moved and I haven’t touched my stuff in over a year. I know right. All of the things that I have are outdated. Might just need to go to Hobby Lobby or Michaels and get something. I am really wanting one of those Cricuit Machines that I see on TV – wonder if they work?
