I had my RNY Laproscopically on Valentines Day, 2/14/08
I had no problems with my surgery, was off all pain meds 3 days after surgery. My recovery is going faster than most in terms of physical healing and being able to eat certain foods quicker than others. As of yet, I have no food aversions. I am 12 days out and have lost 20 pounds.
I have an extrememly supportive family and support system.
Would love to exchange daily food diaries with someone, etc.

Hi Greta, I am in Columbia, I had RNY Oct/2006 with Dr Strickland. Lost about 90lbs, I am in the 'plastics' phase now and trying to lose last 20 lbs....feel free to message me if you like, Iccan offer experience and I always need motivation too....We have alot in common I see...I was 257 lbs/////// Hi survivor398 the next post....Dr Tribble is that one of the Surgeons with Baptist? My husband was in that program also. I have heard they have an excellent program! I chose Strickland and have been happy so far...feel free to message me both of you.trust me I am no expert but can share my experiences. It is good to know someone in our area. I look on the SC board often but only usually find Charleston people on there which they offer alot of great info but we need to more Columbia and closer people too. Hope to hear from ya'll if ya'll want to chat message me and I will give you my home and work emails Addresses. I am so glad I looked on this pen pal forum. I have never been this section before.
