Robyn, How on earth did you get from Kentucky to Springfield, MA?  I ask because I lived in West Springfield for 12 years and most people I meet think Massachusetts consists of nothing west of Boston.  I moved from Mass. to northwest Tennessee near the Kentucky border 9 yrs ago to take a job here that I eventually quit (was recruited by a head-hunter).  My husband and I like Tennessee weather much better than New England weather! Your dogs are adorable! Jean

Jean,  When we graduated undergrad in 97, my husband went to law school up at Western New England College.  Unfortunately, he hated the school and we both hated the area so didn't stay past a year.  I actually worked in West Springfield!  It was too cold and the folks weren't very friendly.  Can you believe we didn't even visit Boston the whole time there!  We did take some great road trips though, including Salem MA, Newport RI, Mystic CT to name a few.  I love TN, but have never been to that part of the state.  My sister used to actually live in Johnson City, which is on the far eastern part.  I would move to TN in a heartbeat! Hope you weekend is wonderful.  We are going to the casino here soon!  Penny slots here I come!!!

Robyn, Small world!  My ex-husband went to WNEC for a year (engineering) and hated it too.  Transferred to U. Conn., which is where we met. I agree that on the whole, southerners are much friendlier than northerners.  West Tennessee isn't as pretty as east Tennessee but it's a huge improvement over Massachusetts! Have fun at the slots.  Hope you come out ahead... Jean
