Looking for a pen pal

Hi Leslie, Did you find a penpal yet?  I guess I'm applying for the job. LOL.  My name is Becky and I am 32.  I am married to Scott who has the RNY on 4/26/07 and has lost 112 lbs to date.  We have 2 children, Mandy, 8, and Timothy, 2.  We are also foster parents and curretnly have 2 little boys ages 2 & 1 staying with us.  Oh, and we live in NC. My surgery date is 12/20/07, so I'm right behind you!  I know your surgery is just a few days away, so i hope you get this message beforehand.  Good luck to you!

Hi Becky, Thanks for replying!  I'm very excited, my surgery is only 5 days away.  I'm trying to prepare myself with this liquid diet, the holiday shopping, wrapping, preparing my children, etc.  You said your husband had the surgery, are you having it done as well?  Leslie

Hi Guys, Leslie, you had your surgery yesterday, and I hope things went really smooth for you.  Becky, congrats on your upcoming date!  I'm hoping for Jan 7th. I'd love to  be included in a penpal ring/support thing.  Maybe we could all support each other. Welcome to the Loser's Bench Leslie!  Congratulations!!!  I had my WLS on 5/25/07 and will celebrate my 7 months on Christmas!  And, if all goes according to schedule, I'll hit my surgeon's goal on Christmas. lol  What a gift it is! I'd love to talk to any of you.  It's an amazing journey and I'm so thrilled I've taken it.  Best wishes to you all!!!!

Congratulations to you.  Leslie is still in the hospital from surgery on Monday.  She's had complications I don't fully understand, and now we have a nor'easter (12-18 inches of snow for anyone not from the Northeast)  I'm hopeful that she'll be coming home tomorrow or Sa.
