I am new to the cyber arena and new to WLS (actually haven't had it yet or had a date scheduled yet)! I would really appreciate having a pen pal. Someone who is also waiting or has had RNY in the recent past would be great. I feel really nerdy asking like this and I am embarassed to say it, but I feel like I am in a stall just waiting and putting everything off until I have the surgery. I really get worried about that feeling. Anyway, I am 32 years old, married with a DS who is four years old. I am from Canada and like being wacky (don't know if that is the right way to put it ). Hi Alison!

My name is Kellye & I'm in Michigan.  I'm 35, married, no kids (unless you count the 4-legged kind ) and have been overweight all my life.  I started researching WLS back in 2000 & am just now finally going to have it done!   My surgery date is March 30th.

I read through some of your profile & I could relate to much of it.  I, too, am struggling to lose weight before the surgery & it's a constant battle to stay on track.  But I'm trying. *sigh*  I think I just want to wait until after WLS to really get "down to business" & follow a specific diet as at that time I'll have to.  Right now it's a choice, you know?

I have a quirky sense of humor, often sarcastic & am considered to be somewhat of a smart-ass.   So if you would like to be pals, just let me know!  Feel free to check out my profile, too!
