Snail Mail or Email Friend....

Hi there! I'm a post op patient having had my surgery in July 2006. I'm looking for either an email friend or snail mail friend who loves to share long letters. I'd just like to meet a new friend out there whether to just get to know one another or to help mentor someone who wants to know about my experiences post op. So far I've lost 102 lbs all together between pre op and post op. I'm 36, a teacher, married with no kids. I love kids but enjoy being able to send them home at the end of the day. I have a home zoo however with a golden retriever, border collie, callico cat and a mini rex rabbit. In my spare time I love reading, magazines, House, Survivor, hgtv.ca, the Food Network, celebrity gossip, shopping, antiques, Harry Potter, computer stuff, Lush, scented candles, animals, travel, bed and breakfasts, wls, Apprentice, 80s music and nostalgia, the Beatles, usless trivia, board games, dollar stores, child development, swimming, summer, aquaerobics, and much more! Looking for a friend who is somewhat chatty around my age. If you love snail mail, I do too! My name is Kim and I haven't been able to schedule my surgery yet. I am struggling with insurance companies and so forth but am very interested in information first hand from someone who has been there, done that! I am 36 and live in Corpus Christi Texas. I am a single mom of a 15 year old... wow! They grow so fast! I am attending college full time to become a Special Education Teacher... we have that in common! I want to work Behavioral Intervention and Autism specialty ECD-K-5. I struggle with excersize programs and at the moment am working hard just to get enough water in my diet. I would appreciate a friend to talk to and to encourage as well as be encouraged. I am pretty chatty myself and don't check my email daily but can be long winded when I do write. Hi....my name is Phyllis & I live in PA & I had this surgery in September of 2006.  I too have no children & am looking for a post-op snail mail pal ..... I will email you at the address you gave at the bottom of your post & we can go from there if you'd like!  So far I've lost 114#...and am very close to my goal weight.  I've had a lot of problems find a post-op support group in my area so this would be a wonderful way to correspond with someone in the same boat as I. I too love to read in my spare time, I write poetry & short stories, watch some T.V. usually Criminal Type shows i.e. Law & Order SVU or CSI Miami.  Also love history/discovery channel & also food network once in a while.  We own an antique shop on our property which is very upscale.  I enjoy anything to do with the computer, animals especially cats, travelling etc. Though I am considered an "old lady" at 57 years of age I have never looked nor felt old!  In fact, my husband & I still listed to rock music....but then again I'm a fan of all kinds of music.  So you see if I am of any interest to you...my email address is: [email protected] Phyllis Snook
