Someone to share the journey?

Hi, I'm almost 53 years old, adoptive mom of my granddaughter who is 5, and hoping to have my gastric RNY in September (keeping my fat rolls crossed). I'd really like to find someone who is in about the same place as I am in their journey so we can share the moments! Any takers? Hugs, Connie

Hi Connie-I am new to this journey also-going in for my informational seminar on August 10th and have a consult with a surgeon following the seminar. I am a 33 year old mother of 2 girls, age 2 and 7. I am hoping to qualify for a RNY also. Hope to hear from you soon- Becka

Hi Connie, I too am waiting to have surgery. However, Aetna Insurance doesn't want to approve my surgery. I have submitted everything their policy has required and still they can't seem to give me reasons why they can't approve my surgery. Keep me posted how you are doing. Jean Omaha, Nebraska

Hey there! I am pre-op. I am approved and in the middle of tests. It looks like I will be having surgery before September is out.I would love to share with you, we can give each other even extra support. These message boards are the best, and I am so grateful for them. I too am a grandma, helping to raise my 2 grandsons, they are 8 and 4, a handful,yet my total joy..smile. Hi everyone, Thanks for posting to my thread. I have been extremely busy the last few weeks. I have my surgery consult on the 6th of September. I've been and will be running back and forth between school, dance lessons and soccer practice/games, not to even exclude working 40 hours a week. Yikes! How is everyone doing?
