Email Buddy--North Carolina

I am 4 1/2 months post op and I do not have a Gastric Bypass Buddy. My family is great at supporting me but they don't know what it's like to go through this and I have days where I am obsessed with being online just to read postings so I know I'm not alone. Would love to have someone to email that is about the same amount of time post op as I am. Please do a posting if interested.

Hi Lindy! I'm soon to be 3 months out, and like you, keep reading the posts like a mad woman to just try to connect with someone who gets it. A little about me. I'm a 34 year old mom. I have a significant other, but he and I are on the outs right now. He doesn't get it. I have a 14 year old son. I'm a registered nurse. I actually work in a factory taking care of the workers. We even have plants in your home state. I had my RNY on 04/28/06, and it saved my life. I have had some complications, but am doing fine, now. Just not losing s fast as I would like. I enjoy reading, sewing, cooking (at least I used to, when I could eat all that stuff), and the outdoors. I'm looking forward to someday donning a swimsuit, and taking a real vacation. Right now, it is hard...I feel like I'm starting my life all over again...from scratch. It's okay, I guess, some of the best is from scratch.
