New To MS...Looking for a pen pal or e-mail friend

Hi! I am 32 years old. First off let me say that my family is very supportive and great...fantastic husband who is my best friend....2 beautiful daughters...2 loyal pets(cat and dog). What is missing??? Friends! I just moved here at Christmas and so far I have met no one. I am painfully shy around people that I do not know very well which is not really good when trying to make friends. I am hoping to have RNY soon, but I am just starting the process of getting referrels, etc. I need actual adult conversation with friends who I am not married to!
