PenPal Anyone? - Maryland and Beyond

Hi, I've got a surgery date on May 31and I'm looking for a PenPal. Actually, I'll be rescheduleing my surgery date to June to make my life more sane. I'm a 45, married female with 3 young children (7 and under). I need few people to chat, email and posibly become firends with who understand what I'll be experiencing or to experience together. EW

Hi - My name is Sharon. I had open RNY in March of 2004. I would love to be your penpal. I know I am 2 years out. I will be able to understand what you are going through now. I enjoy chatting and emailing and always looking to make new friends. Life is a little easier when you have a buddy. I have a couple of friends whom I keep in touch with that have had the sugery. They are out a little longer then me. My mom had her open RNY in August of 2003. We always share what is working and not working. We compare notes and go through the ups and downs together. I can remember how nervous I was just before I had the surgery and prayed that I made the right decision. I would do it all over again. I have no regrets. It was tough in the beginning but it got eaiser. The best advice I can give you is Listen To Everything Your Dr. Tells You to Do. I am just recently married. (Nov). I am in the process of going back to school and deciding when we are going to try for a baby. My only fear is- I pray that I do NOT regain the weight I lost. I have lost a total of 60 pounds. I am working on trying to lose 20 more pounds. 2 years later and everyday is still a struggle. I look forward to hearing back from you.
