Disability Hearing
Thank you for the words of encouragement. My daughter, who is an RN was just coming to the realization of how hard it must be to have multiple invisable illnesses. That is a challenge that I have been trying to work through. Having worked in customer service all my life, reflex answer to How are you doing....I"m great, how about you? Several years ago I had a really great Dr. when I gave him my automatic answer and smile. He would always say if you are doing so great why are you here? For me that was the perfect clue to stop and tell him how I really was.
The Dr. I have now is very supportive.

Also, get your doctor to sign the form for a handicapped parking placard or license plate in your state, and make good use of the electric carts at the store when you go grocery shopping.
Forget the "dirty looks" because you will get them. You are just as entitled to use them as someone whose disability is evident.
Buy and use a cane if you need to. I found that it helped on the days when I was feeling very weak.
