Well all my fibro symptoms are muscle related  and mostly horrendous pain to the point I can hardly move some days. I've not read anything about fibro and eye problems or bad head aches. Maybe someone else will have other info.

ya this is why ive got the dianosises of ms a couple of times too but ive read that some people have eye problems sensitivity to smells i cant handle any smells, gas perfume, cleaning, if i die my hair i have to wash my hair like three times, and if some one even walks by me wearing strong perfume it turns my stomach. but right now its just really bad like i said my eyes hurt and now ive pulled the muscles down my whole left side of my back so i can barley move i know us fibro people do this alot but why does every thing come on at onces. I think it could be stress related My surgery will be some were around janurary \. I was hoping some one else could tell me what to do about this eye stuff because it drives me crazy and puts my life at a stand still uggg thank you though loretta

@loretta

I get weird migraine like headaches often when my fibro flares, too.  I am very sensitive to smells all the time.  My wife cannot wear many perfumes or sprays because of my strong reaction to most.  Anything with a chemical smell, eg cleaners, is really hard on me.  Natural smells I can tolerate in stages.

I also get dry eyes and treat them with Visine.  Its pretty natural and safe.  I have to work to keep my ears clean of wax which can contribute to headaches and pounding sounds in my ears and head.

Hope any of that might be helpful.  At least you are not alone.

I just got diagnosed with fybromyalgia, one of my main symptoms is headaches. I don't have the eye situtation but the headaches and the muscle pan are the worst for me.

 the eye pain and dryness isnt like regular eye pain i feel sometimes like i cant see good and it hurts to keep them open use all kind of eye drops the eye specialist gave me some drops but they only help for a sec the smell thing is awfull i only can handle fruit sented things. and my mom goes over board on all smelly things she covers er self in perfume so if shes around i get a bad headache uses way to much fabric softner and her car has airfreshners every wear uggg, dont they understand. oh just a little thought those dryer bars are awsume not a strong smell and no static. loretta

I have the eye problems,watery at times,very painful ,foggy vision even if I can even focus.My Dr. couldn't help and the medication the Optometrist gave me didn't help either. Well I decided to try over the counter eye drops and WOW it worked.I started using Systane and I at times still have the watery eyes but no more pain and vision problems. Thats my 2 cents worth.

I have had dry mouth and dry eyes to the point that I get ulcers inside my eyelids, mouth sores, headaches, sensitivity to smells...even when others don't smell anything. I now take (please forgive my spelling) pilocarpine for dry mouth, use steroid drops in my eyes when I have the ulcers - otherwise artificial tears several times a day. My doctor has said she thinks I have Sjogrens syndrome. I also take a very low dose of Nuvigil to help with the brain fog. This really helps keep me a little more clear headed so I can focus better. I will say that the Nuvigil works wonderful but has a tendency to give a slight headache. Isn't it great, all this with the daily pain of fibromyalgia! Hope this helps.

Hey,

Haven't logged on in well, forever but, am reading your posts.
I have similar symptoms, when my eyes begin burning, I know i"m in for a ride with pain and a downward spiral of agrivated symptoms. The headache on one side of my head can last months. sometimes it is more awful than others but, rarely does it completly go away. I often don't drive as a result. Sometimes it makes it hard to think. It is good to share this info.
