fibro flares

I have been having a horrible long winded flare this time. I am aching at all tender points,headache and have developed gout in my right wrist. I kept thinking it would pass in the next couple of days. I think I must break down and call the Dr. tomorrow.
The weather has cooled down, so I have been out walking. Aquacise classes start next week and I am really looking forward to that. I get a lot of relief from the water exercises.
I had carpal tunnel surgery and dequrveen surgery(thumb) two years ago. I am not sure if it is the fibro flare or what but they also hurt so bad I can hardley think straight.
I also have been having a lot of pain in my right ear and right jaw. Has anyone else had this? I know it is not an ear infection because it comes and goes. Very painfull!

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. The only thing that ever helps me during flares is heat like a warm bath or wrap up in my electric blanket. Otherwiswe the only other thing that works is narcotic pain meds altho cymbalta has helped me but you have to take it everyday. Sounds like it is time to call the doc tho maybe he can help you get some relief.

i get pain in my jaw and ears sometimes id go to the doctors thinking ear infection nope nothing. it can last a few weeks for some reason clartin help me when this happens. i also some times feel like my chest is on fire this to i am told is from the fibro. good luck

Thanks all for the info. I take Lyrica and it has been helping for a long time. I do wrap up with a warm blanket at times. That does help!
Wendy-I take so many meds I am afraid to do any natural herbs without checking with my Drs. But I defiently will ask what he thinks. It helps to share with others that understand what the pain is like.

maybe the lyrica isnt working as well as it use to i use to be on lyrica had to stop taking because of being pregnant worked for me but i gain alot of weight now im trying to find a med that works that dont cause alot of weight gain i lost 90lbs coming off lyrica witch would of been great if i wasnt prego at the time lol.

I have had pain that comes and goes in my ear and I went to the doctor and I had an inner ear infection and a middle ear infection.  It was so bad that as soon as my first antibiotics were gone it came back and I needed more antibiotics because it came back right away.  The pain would go down into my face.  I think at least for peace of mind you should have it checked out.  It may be nothing but fluid behind your ear but it could be an ear infection!
