hi,there i understand completely.the dr. told me that havin fibro.that it might help some to have the wls.but the fibro will not go away.even with that i'm still goin ahead with the wls.fibro can hit anyone.my best friends mom that weight about 100 lbs.has fibro.so it dosen't matter how much weight u loss.but i'm still goin to be positive about the wls.i don't use the word skinny cause i'm never goin to look like cindy crawford lol.so i say health.u can be skinny but not healthy.and that is just as bad as bein fat and unhealthy.so just hang in there and keep thinkin positive.

Hi....I am having my sleeve surgery November 2, 2011, however, I have had Fibro for more than 4 years. I have tons and tons of research on Fibro....As far as I have found Fibro doesn't have a direct cause, however, it is "Thought" to be triggered by trauma to the body. In my case, my Fibro was triggered by a fall down some stairs when I blew out my knee. I ended up with three knee surgery, one ankel surgery and a slip and fall on wet bathroom floor day after my first knee reconstruction surgery. So with the two falls and damage from those falls, it is thought that those traumatic events triggered my Fibro. A good source of info on Fibro is "National Fibromyalgia Association"

Hope that helps some, good luck...JC
