Vitamin E

I was diagnosed with Fibro about 1 year ago and am on cymbalta.  I love it but with the ebb & flow of hormones it can make me sleepy sometimes (lower the dose).

However, a vitamin E supplement has helped so much.  I am Pre-op for RYN and will have to adjust my vitamins post-op but just wanted to let everyone know about this.

It seems to help a lot with the pain.

Hopes it helps!

Good to know, thanks, I'll have to try it. How much do you take? I take lots of vit.D but only the E that is in my multi. I take cymbalta too but it seems to be wearing off sooner all the time so this just might help out.

Ok this vit D  thing is so scary. I take (5) 5,000 a DAY doc ordered and one 50,000 perscription a week and my vit D was still borderline low. That is so scary to me!!! yes you read right 5 pills of 5,000 a day!!!!.
Where does it go !!!!

What kind of D do you take?  Is it D2 and in a gel cap?  That kind is useless to us.  I know the prescription kind won't work.  We need dry D3.  This is what I use.  http://www.vitalady.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&k ey=1130X100
They have it in 5,000 and 50,000.  I was able to bring my level up from barely detectable to 72 using the D3 50,000.

I take 1000 iu of Vitamin E and also a SUPER B complex with C!  I swear by both of these.  I can so tell when i don't take them.  They help with pain, swelling and circulation so i can actually walk!  Try it!  You have to take them for awhile to reap the benefits.

Hope this helps,
Stacey

dietician said to start with 1000 of vit d daily.  guess that's where i begin.  haven't been told, yet, to start vit e so i won't be doing that.  thanks for the info, though, about dosages.  i appreciate it.
