Fibro meds and weight gain?
Unfortunately it's kinda trial and error because what causes it for one person doesn't necesarily cause it for another person. That was helpful huh? I had the problem with Lyrica and I "think" several others have that post here. Right now I'm on cymbalta and don't have trouble with weight gain but do have terrible dry mouth which has been causing extra cavities in my mouth so there are pros and cons with everything. Good luck hope you find something to work for ypu!
i've been on lyrica and gained almost 100 lbs. also was on cymbalta at the same time. we've trial and errored it, too. i'm now on cymbalta and buspirone along with flexerol and neurontin. trying to address the regain and balance my fibro pain with some movement. i'm in that vicious cycle right now, bj. it's not easy but it, too, shall pass. good luck

I am on gabbapentin/neurontin supplamented with high powered pain relief meds when needed. I've not gained weight, but I DO get adema because of the neurontin so my doc has put me on a fluid pill as well. So far, I've not gained any weight with this combo, but, the weather is kicking my butt with the pain.
I am 8 years post op and over the past two years I have had a lot of trouble. It took almost as long to find out what was causing my severe pain. I have been stuck in the no sleep cycle, weight gain for just as long. I regained 60lbs. I was on so many medications as well as being immoble from a back injury, Finally I started seeing a nuerologist and he said the severe pain was indeed Fibromyalgia. I was take off a couple meds and we added Cymbalta. Within the first three months I am back down 21lbs and walking everyday. For me the "magic pill", if you will was the cymbalta. I agree though it truely was a LONG two years of trial and error with me. I'm so sorry to hear you have the same condition. I think that the meds are trial and error along with a good dr that understands your personal needs. Each person reacts differently to different meds. I hope this was somewhat helpful.
Good Luck,
Julie
