easy way to get pills down

I had read in one of my magazines that coated the pill with butter would slide it down. BUT I did not want the butter so I am been thinking what to use instead. Well 3 nights ago I choked bad, even choked the pill back up... well my pain pill and my calcuim are the worse, ones. i got a spoon last night and SF pudding I put the pill on the spoonful of pudding and swallowed it with a drink. WOW it slid down and no problem. I cannot believe how the big pills just slid down all these years feeling like there stuck and such a simple solution!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope if any of you have problems with pills you will try this.

That's worth trying.  I keep checking the pharmacy to see if that pill cutter or crusher will go on sale, but maybe won't need to if this works.

Thanks pam for the info....I hate taking a few of pills.
