Please help me and give me advice please..all who view please give advice??
I am so sorry that you are dealing with this at such a young age. I have dealt with pain for a long time and did not know it was Fibromyalgia...sadly, I was one of those people that did not even believe in that diagnosis until it happened to me. I found that Fibromyalgia is an immune system disorder. My daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Rhematoid Arthritis at the age of one and I wondered who she could have inhereited this immune system problem from...duh! Man did I feel guilty once I knew...not that I could have helped it...just my nature to feel guilty about everything. Anyway, she is 16 now and dealing well with her JRA. It went into remission for several years...but came back last year. She deals with meds for that and I take Lyrica and Vicodin for Fibromyalgia pain. Thankfully, I can take both and still function at work. I tried Cymbalta and it made me depressed...as most SSRI medications do...weird...I have the opposite affect to it than most. I also take Ativan 2 mg twice daily for anxiety and Melatonin and Soma at night to help me sleep and relax my muscles so I can sleep. I used to hate the heat and would love to have air conditioning blowing on my full blast....now, I love the heat because it helps my pain. I live in a very hot and dry area of the valley in CA. I have wanted to move to the coast when I retire...but now when I go there for vacation it makes me hurt more...so sad because the beach is really my happy place! Do what you have to do to live your best life and be there for your family...it is often hard because of the pain...it can be all consuming. Prayer and meditation...heat/hot showers/hot tub...pain meds as tolerated...all help!
I'm sorry for all you are going through.
I tell my doctors that I refuse pain medications unless they are considered non-narcotic and are very safe. The only one I take is Tramadol and I only take it when I absolutely have to take to take it and only at night. I am on Lyrica for the fibromyalgia and it helps a lot, but not enough. You can see a pain specialist that your doctor recommends, hopefully a good one that is not into drugs. I have one for my back and I get injections, etc.
All the states are cracking down on pain medications - really all medications - and I believe the doctors are going to have to get stricter with what they prescribe. I know here in VA the state or the doctors can pull your prescriptions reports at any time and track what you get. That is to cut down on people abusing meds. I get massages at least once a month and I have a massage therapist I have seen for 8 years who does trigger point therapy, and she was recommended by a doctor.
Something else may be going on besides Fibromyalgia and if so, those medications won't help anyway.
