I take cymbalta 30mg 2x a day, morphine 30mg 2x and 5 mg oxycodone every 4-6 hrs. That doesn't rid me of all the pain but it makes it tolerable most days. I get mine from my primary care doc but started with a pain clinic he sent me to. As far as energy I don't have any either, chronic fatigue often goes with the fibro. I just do as much as I can and sometimes I just have to make myself do it anyway. I sleep thru the night but never feel rested, we fibro trend not to get to all the sleep stages so never feel rested no matter how much sleep we get. Like any other chronic disease we have to take it one day at a time. Best of luck to you.
I am on Oxycontin 20 mg 3x day, Cesamet (THC chemical), 0.5 mg morning, 1 mg at night, using Remeron (Mirtazapine) 30 mg a night to help sleep, and Percocet 5/325 mg for breakthrough up to four times a day as needed... some days none, some days four, but usually a dose in the afternoon. I'm also in Canada, so the options to me are different than to you (Lyrica isn't covered for fibro yet... just MS).
My fiancee had to change from Nexium when we lost our extended coverage (both of us got laid off), so he's on Raberprazole, and seems to be doing well. Ask your pharmacist if there is a generic that can be substituted.

I take cymbalta 30mg 2x a day, Busprin 10 mg. 2 x day, morphine 15 mg 1x (at night) and NORCO every 4-6 hrs. That doesn't rid me of all the pain but it makes it tolerable most days. I take Lunesta at night for sleep. I wish I had something to give me energy. I work each day and it's a damn good thing I'm self employed! I would be fired if I kept (or tried to keep) the hours I do now. I work over 40 hours a week but they are not the typical 8 - 5 because I never know how I'm going to feel from one day to the next.

I am using amino acids to relieve pain naturally. I started with 1gram of Glutamine and 1500mg of Phenylalanine in the morning on an empty stomach. Wait 30 minutes before eating. Then at night I take 5mg melatonin. My go**** works! I am pretty much pain free!
Google amino acids for pain relief and do some research for yourself.

my dr sent me to a pain clinic 10 yrs ago for my fibro and they put me on Methadone and vicoden for break through pain. Last Oct, I decided i didn't want to be on that because it was affecting my memory and I never wanted to do anything. I take Lyrica but it doesn't seem to do much either. I am going to have a nerve block done for my left leg. It hurts so bad and goes numb. It took them years to say it really was an illness. I had to fight to get what I had but then it was just too much. People do not understand how we feel all of the time.
I'm currently taking Cymbalta 60mg a day. I was taking Lyrica as well but started feeling really weird and having stomach pains after surgery so weaned myself off of it. I was taking Ambien for sleep at night but since surgery the 10 mg leaves me with that "stoned" feeling in the morning so now I take Melatonin at night. Since the surgery and losing 57 Lbs I'm coping really well and feeling good. The few pains and headaches I have had thus far respond to Ultram kicked up with some Tylenol. Light exercise, stretching plenty of water good food protein really makes ya feel so much better. My Rheumatologist does all of my Fibro care.
