Make sure you are drinking enough water or juice. If I'm dehydrated I hurt more. Also I take Celebrex but make sure you eat something like yogurt a couple bites before and after the medication then wait at least 30 minutes before you drink again. Nsaids can cause stomach irritation and ulcers if you aren't careful. I have been able to cut down on medications with losing weight .

I don't think I'd have any words of wisdom but I did want wish you well on your new journey that includes the LapBand.  I had open RNY in February 2006.  I've lost 140 lbs. and have about 30 still hanging around.  I believe that the fibro would have been worse if I still had all that extra weight.  It's bad enough with the weight I do have.

Sorry to hear you're fibro is flaring up again too.  I hope you can get it under control and that losing the weight will help keep it more manageable!

When i had the Gastric Bypass five years ago I seemed to do okay I followed evrything to the letter they asked and well still try to. Fibro acts up as you know from any change to your body. You may have worn off all the drugs from Hospital and need pain meds some for a few more days. But make sure you eat or you will get sick. Try to watch diet to letter it gets better when you do. All I recall is loving when I finally got a few bites of mashed potatos. And I mean a few lol. It does get better I promise. Have had fibro diagnosed in 1998 And yes weight off helps so hang in there
