So tired
Hello my friends,
I was diagnosed with Fibro going on 9 yrs ago. I had my surgery Feb 5th. I want to do more exercises besides just walking but my fibro is in the way. I have been so exhausted I have no energy even after walking.
My wls doctor says that maybe in the 4th or 5th month that I may see my enegry return and more.
But now I'm so tired I can barely make it just through my walking.
I take Cymbalta and Lyrica I have been talking those medications for a several years now.
Any suggestions or should I just deal wit it?
Thank you in advance,

Hi,
You really are still very new postop and I would not be a bit surprised to find that you are still recovering.
It takes a month to recover from each hour you are under general anesthesia.
Also, having fibro takes alot of of a person under the best of cir****tances.
Are you having b-12 injections monthly? You should be having a IM b-12 shot every single month for the rest of your life. I give myself a shot in the thigh on the aniversery of my surgery date (the 18th) so it's fairly easy to remember.
Your doc is right, give it a good month or two and see if more energy returns.
In the meantime, keep hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day. Protein shakes in between meals helps.
Protein first...
The cymbalta and lyrica also tend to tire one out. With the malabsorbtion you are going to have it hit you faster and longer.
I bet you will see your energy returning soon.
Also, keep up on your labs...make sure you are not anemic.

I am pre-surgery and that is one of my fears. I am worried about how much physical activity I am going to be able to manage. I get tired so easily. My hope is that as the weight comes off, I will be able to do more & more activities. I hope that is the case for you too.
I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me (Phillipians 4:13).
