Freaking DYING
Revision on 08/21/12
The cymbalta (90mg) has worked well for me for both my depression and the fibro, but if it doesn't work for you then contact your doc and insist on a change. My sleep specialist told me that fibro patients have an almost typical sleep pattern that is very disrupting to quality sleep. My test showed an almost textbook case. I never got below type 3 sleep, (of 4)only spent 30 total minutes in stage 3, and my brain waves spiked into levels 2 and 1 every few minutes. Stage 3&4 are where real rest takes place as well as nonessential things like, oh say, cellular regeneration. I was placed on trazedone and it works great. (except for the sleep apnea). There are many meds that can be used. Sleep is one of the most essential things for a fibro patient, yet, the fibro sabotages it. Get that checked out, you may get some relief.
Also, I work at a job where taking a narc or anything like valium is absolutely out, so I got an Rx for Ultram. It doesn't do much for me by itself, but add 2 of those to 1000 mg. of tylenol and it will bring the pain down to a dull roar. Good luck, you'll be in my prayers.
