Wow,
I was going to post a new topic, but this one covers my complaint. I am in California, and it is 48 degrees outside. I am gonna whine about being cold and sore. I tried to tell my pain management pharm. that the meds are doing no good and I need more. So we really do get hit with the cold. It is as though we have no meds at all. I am still on the 50mcg Fentanyl patch and Norco. Well, I can take up to 4 Norco and still feel like my arms are jello. I feel like a rubber band. I stayed in bed during the holiday time off and can't get back to normal. Is it really the cold weather or something else? I have tried muscle relaxers and that helps some, but too tired now. I almost feel like I am dying a slow death. Sorry to sound so dramatic, but that is the only way to describe it. I just need your comfort. I am sure my husband is ready to pull his ears off. lol. Thank you ladies for all of your support during the winter months. Kristy

Hi Ladies,
Pam, thanks for posting! I am feeling the very same way! Between the driving during the holidays, extra year end work that I needed to do not to mention the crappy, lousy weather we are having here in Annapolis, Maryland. I don't think I remember what not being in pain feels like. To top things off I am dog sitting for dear friends of mine who are in Hong Kong. She is a sweet border collie, who is 12 but acts like she's a puppy. Three to four walks a day-which are good for my waist line but not so hot for my muscles. I have been using Lidoderm patches with a little relief. I am thinking of you all too! Wishing all a happy new year-one filled with lots of love, laughter, prosperity and good health! I don't post often but lurk and learn a lot! Susan

Happy New Year Fibro Sisters!
Pam, I'm so sorry you (and the other fibro sisters) are feeling the effects of the winter. I remember living in NY (Binghampton area) for too long. The winters and the cold never seemed to let up!
I have been very fortunate the past 6 weeks or so. Minimal pain, lots of energy and no depression (i'm sure that comes with the pain).
Christmas and New Year's was spent surrounded with people who I love and who love me. My son was home from Fort Campbell (had just returned from being in Afghanistan for 18 mths), my two daughters and other son also hung around the house here in Florida. Fortunately for us, husband is over seas on a contract job and won't be bac****il the first of Feb, so there was no tension in my new condo during the holidays. I'm sure that led to having a very enjoyable and relaxing time.
