Okay, had my one year ckup and was up 3 pounds from 3 months ago.  I have been very hungry all the time.  I'm not sure how to get control back again.  Here's my normal pattern:

Breakfast:
CLICK protein drink with skim milk
Light Yoplait Yogurt
Water

Snack:
Unsalted Pretzels

Lunch:
Diet Coke or milk
Chicken or Hamburger
Sliced peppers

Snack:
Oh Yeah - Almond Fudge Brownie
Sometimes Sweet & Salty Nut/Chip bag
Water or coffee

Dinner:
Usually chili, spaghetti, or shrimp

Water

Snack:
SF Fudgesicles
Crackers
Cup of skim milk

Any suggestions?

If I don't eat often I feel sick.

HI,
Maybe you need to bump up or start excercising or walking at a brisk pace to bring your heart rate up to a level where your metabolizm rocks.  Also, it could be you aren't eating enough.  Your body goes into starvation mode when you don't eat enough because it thinks it won't eat again, so it stores the extra fat to use as a source of food later.  I really don't know if the starvation mode still applies for people that have had wls.  I don't see why it wouldn't.  Also drink more water, that will flush out the extra water retention.  Other than that, I can't think of anything else.  Watch your carbs, the bad carbs, eat the good carbs though.  take care, Kristy

I agree with Kristy watch the carbs especially the snacky carbs. Try to get more lean, low carb, protein. That not only helps keep you feeling full longer but a high protein diet is helpful for those of us with fibro too. It helps supply strength to our muscles. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback.  As I read the list I realized I hadn't put down the fruits I was eating.  Blueberries, Bananas, Strawberries usually.  I also realized that I haven't been drinking enough water and I bet that is why I am so hungry.  I'm all over that now.  :)

Okay, today is a new day.  I was feelin very defeated this weekend with my eating.
But, today.... I have already drunk one 16 oz water and walked 1/3 mile here at the office walking path.  I am determined today to behave myself.  :)

Hi,
Don't forget that if you are struggling with you food, then you really need to watch the carbs that are in fruits and watch the natural sugars.

Gosh, I'm only six months out and feel  the same way. Lately I'm hungry alot and have noticed I can eat alot more and not feel full.Going to doc for six month check up,gonna discuss with him. I know I don't get enough water or protein. Can't seem to find protein drink I can stand the taste of,especially the powders.I was told we could not drink coke or any soda's ever again, cause would cause bloating and discomfort to stomach. The coke doesn't bother you?   JoAnn
