I've had Fibro for about 15 yrs. Recently I found that i have pinched nerves in my neck and low back from spinal changes since weight loss.

I have started getting steriod epidural injections to decrease nerve inflammation and have gained 10 pounds back! I was also placed on 600mg of Neurontin at night.

Have any of you had epidurals or neurontin and experienced this kind of weight gain?

10 pounds in 2 weeks not what I need right now!!

I've had both and I suspect the weight gain is from the injections. Just like with oral steroids that I use for my lung disease that cause weight gain. Fortunately I usually lose the weight once I'm off the steroids. I also had the injections at one time but they didn't seem to cause me to gain. Just be extra careful about your diet and maybe bump up the exercise some and you should be able to keep it under control. As a rule the injections aren't long term so it should get easier with time. Good luck.

They tried to put an epidural in me at surgery and they could not get it in because of my back hurting so bad.
A picnched nerve does not sound pleasant at all !!!!!!

Keep us posted and prayers your way.

About two weeks after my surgery, I started getting epidural injections to my lower back for pain. I didn't seem to have any problem initially, but didn't lose anything in June, just came to stand still. Not sure if that was a reason.
