Fibro Flu

I was recently diagnosed with fibro myalgia :(  Besides the pain I have other symptoms. The one that bothers me the most is a flu like feeling with no fever that I get a few times a month! Do of you other fibro myalgia patients experience this? I feel like a mack truck hit me when this happens, hot flashes, chills, weak, tired! Ugghhhhh I hate it!

Flu like pain is the major fibro symptom. Every person I've ever talked to with fibro describes it the same way, like a flu that never goes away. I would suggest you get on the internet and look up fibro and go to myfibro.com. Folks with fibro are also very often diagnosed with chronic fatigue. Read all you can, the more informed the better you will be able to deal with this new life. Best of luck to you!

Yes--that sounds very familiar. I find I can deal with that (since it has been going on so long) what is SO hard is the fatigue. It does ebb and flow though. Just as I think that I cannot take it any more I will go into a 'better' period. You just have to be careful not to over do or the crash can be awful. It makes life a balancing act. Yep, me too. I was just telling my dh that I always feel as if the flu is coming on. I'm achy, tired and just plain icky.  He is a gem and does most of everything around the house now. I don't even have to take the laundry downstairs any longer.

Try not to strain yourself, a good massage or hot tub would work wonders.

That is fibro symptom. I have to say since I have started this new homopathic pills I have that reduced by a lot.
As I have said in my posts about it, i don't know if it will help me forever BUT I have felt sooooooooooooo much better since starting it.
