Reaction to Lyrica

I am new to all this and I need some advice. My rheumy gave me Lyrica yesterday. I took it last night, and as I was rocking my son to sleep, I had to gasp for air. Kind of like you do when you have been underwater. I did sleep very well last night. I took my second dose this morning at 7, and i feel like I am in one of those tunnels that go round and round at the fair. You know the ones in the fun house. I am having a little trouble breathing. Its not wheezing. I have had asthma all my life. Its like I forget to breath. My face and lips are a little numb. I can't walk in a straight line. Also, I started running fever and my hands and feet hurt so bad. I just don't know what to do. I called my doc. Of course he is out of town, so is my pcp. The nurse just said to stop taking it. Should I go the the ER or should I just wait it out? Thank you all for taking the time to read.

I would go to the hospital because it sound like your having a reaction  to it.  I take it and yes it can make you fill like your drunk but, as far as the breathing, feet, hands, face you should not be having any pain or numbness.  If you don't go call the hospital and see what they tell you.

I am feeling much better.  My rheumy will be back in the  office on Monday.  I am kind of scared of this med.  I do not want to gain weight.  Has anyone taken it with success and not have weight gain?

I only take Lyrica on those really bad days because all I do is sleep when I take it.  I only take it a few days and once I am feeling better, I go off it.  I take cymbalta, 90 mg. everyday and that seems to help me the most.

Pristiq caused me to have aives on my face!  It didn't make me sleepy and I thought it was going to work out, but I had a huge red patch come up on the side of my face and once I stopped taking it, the rash went away.  Oh well.
