((((GENTLE)))) We all sure know how you feel, sometimes it just seems like we can't catch a break. Is it maybe time to try a new med sometimes that helps me when what I'm taking isn't working anymore. Anyway know we all feel for ya and hope it gets better soon!

Yes changing my med's is been in the back of my mind. I was thinking of trying the Cymbalta, I have to go off my lexapro doc said to try it. I had a scary time when I was on Trazadone after about 8 weeks I was having sucidal thoughts that scared me!!!
My doc which is fairly new to me said well I don't see the Trazadone doing that well I'm better off; off it so I think the trazadone and all the stress the conditions were right and that scared me. I am glad I said something and knew it wasn't right. I am leary of changing med's but realistically I know I will have to sometime anyway.
Thanks for the great reply I KNOW you all understand!!

I'm taking cymbalta and lexapro and it did help for a while.  Since surgery though, I'm getting a sore pouch when I take the lexapro.  I open the capsule and swallow it and I've tried it with the capsule whole.  Either way I get a belly ache.  I'm going to call the psych and see if there is another combo we can try.  I've been really depressed lately and in pain as well.  I don't like that feeling at all.

MY lexapro is a white pill. Doc said I could not take both  ummmm.
I wonder why we get depressed when we hurt so bad and can't do the things we want and have to deal with others that have no clue how bad we feel. Have you had a lot of rain this summer. here in maine it's rained for days!!We have really had no summer weather. Here in Maine they have had people getting seasonal affective disorder in the SUMMER. It is crazy and makes me wonder what winter will bring.
Gentle hugs your way and hope you feel better.

Interesting.  I just looked at my bottles and you are right -- the one that is giving me the tummy ache is the cymbalta NOT the lexapro.  I wonder why we can't take both?  I'll ask the pharmacist, you'd think they would flag that before they fill the rx.  I've been on both for about two years now.  Only since the pouch have I had any side effects.  However, I am in more pain now than I was before surgery.  I thought for sure that the rny would help me walk better and have more energy.  It has not done either.  I am a little depressed about it, to say the least.
