Sex & Fibro
Thanks Pam, I appreciate your input.
Anyone else?
I want to try and have as active a life as I can. I have my own place when I want to get away, so dh & I don't always live together (long story), I have a friend with benefits, but sometimes the pain causes me to stop.
It stinks that when I felt my best (because of the weight loss) ever, I am struck with this Fibro.

Well I'm like Pam myself, DH and I haven't been "active" for years and fibro is a big reason altho once I hit menopause I really didn't have any interest anyway so it doesn't bother me. It's really good that you want to stay active with everything as long as you can. It may come down to having to actually plan things more and use some pain medication. You'll probably figure out ways to adapt like the rest of us do. We find different ways to do things or time things. Hopefully some of the younger members will pop in with some input. Best of luck.
Hi Lilli,
I have experienced a great deal of pain in my hips as well. So, since we can't really ever with all the meds in the world relieve the hip pain. So, I have to say that it has hindered my sex life as well. The best thing I can suggest to you is to buy a book with different positions in it and experiment with them and find some that do work for you, just to keep your sex life going. If your "bed buddy" senses you are in pain, he will loose all interest; period. So hang in there, and don't put yourself in that position (no pun intended, LOL) just stick with the ones that you can get away with without showing pain in the hips or having to stop. I hope this helps. I noticed I am not able to play with my husband as we did prior to the fibro. We might try a position and "Wow, I can't do that it kills my hips". The position may not be as bad as it sounds, it is just a word that makes people feel uncomfortable. Sorry Fibro friends, but if you can't say it here, then where can you say it. LOL
Lilly, I hope you find some relief in this email and I hope you aren't so depressed these days. I could say, "GO HAVE SEX", that's is just too funny, I don't care who ya'r! Take care

Thanks Kristy,
I do appreciate all the help/hope I can get. I have always believed/trusted in other's experiences. What better way to learn? You never know what help you can receive when sharing common ground.
I understand exactly what you are talking about "losing interest" but I don't have to worry about that. Rey & I have been together off & on since grade school. We had a nice ride on the Magna this weekend up the Napa Wine Trail and my hips didn't bother me at all! It's so very nice to have a good day, with miminal pain.
Above all, I don't ever want to offend anyone.

I use to have the same problem of my hips and back hurting during sex.
I found one way of making it where it does not hurt.........
sorry if this is to graphic.
Ho****er helps ease the pain in your muscles and hips and legs or at least it does me. It does not make it go away just make it ease up for a few mins so I have found if you have sex in a bubble bath of ho****er it does not hurt as bad. Then you can also control the depth of penetration cause sometimes that hurts too. Not to mention it is just plain out FUN to do it in the bath tub!! HEHE
Anyway it is worth the shot right....just don't splash to much!!! HAHAHA

Lilli,
I have lived in Napa for over 20 yrs and I have never been on the wine train. Is that to bizzare or what. Now I moved to another town to be closer to my father-in-law who is 79. (I think) I really don't know where to send these responses. I guess perhaps it doesn't matter because you will get them either way right? I haven't quite figured out the way this site works. It is a little confusing. Lilli, I wasn't saying he would lose interest "All the time forever". LOL
Just for the moment. But I am glad to hear the two of you are doing well. So did you get the book yet?. just kidding.
